Is there any way of auto-synching? I personally can cope with a bit of out of synch audio, but it drives my wife nuts. But I don't find synching it very easy to get right, I would love a system that will detect the lip movements and auto synch

Absolutely extraordinary! I've been trying to synch sound and vision in VLC using all kinds of preference tweaks suggested on forums (including VLC's own), none of which work. Then I find this boneheadedly easy and effective method! Thank you very much!
