Here's a link to 2.3.0.... and yes, I like this version better. Elgato needs to update and address these issues!! Version 2.4 can't come fast enough! (And hopefully they take their customers suggestions.) Until then, there's 2.3.0

I don’t know any place on the net that 2.3.0 is now available…El Gato complained to hosting companies about any DL link I put up and had them yanked.

My advice would be to email El Gato directly and ask them to re-post 2.3.0 or send you a DL link. The AVS Forums also have a ton of people looking for this version, so it’s possible they can be persuaded.

But people have been complaining since this version was released and El Gato’s response was to offer instructions on how to fix their MCE-Blue UI mistake…not pull the half-baked update. So I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Good luck on your search…sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.

long winded screed about long burns in Toast 7

Well, since your recording HD, and a DVD is in SD–depending on the speed of your CPU–it will always take a long time to downres and encode for DVD burning. My complaint is that the downresing isn’t very good, need to play with MPEG Streamclip.

As for the above, I also think the blue is rather ugly. But, at least they fixed the Program Guide bug I found. (When scrolling right through the bottom channels, when a screen would refresh it would bounce you up to the top screen of channels.)

I’m surprised that no mention was made of the fact that Elgato made it compulsory to acquire Roxio Toast 7, since Toast 6 would not work with the EyeTV2 program. If that wasn’t bad enough, incurring an additional $100 expense, but the actual burning of DVDs of HDTV recordings using Toast 7 has proven to be a truly needless long winded activity. I have found it necessary to perform all my burnings overnight since they can take as many as seven hours just to encode a single recording in addition to the time it takes to do the actual DVD burning.

But I do have to add that I am fortunate to have a Sony HDTV which actually up-converts the 480i of the DVD to 1080i and the PQ is remarkably equal to the PQ of the original program. I just wish Roxio would upgrade Toast 7 so that the enjoyment derived from the use of Miglia, through Elgato, could be extended to the finished product of the Roxio program.
